Chirayu Rana has filed a lawsuit against Lorna Hajdini, alleging sexual harassment and racial abuse. The case is currently in the New York County Supreme Court. JPMorgan Chase & Co. has conducted an internal investigation into the claims.
As of early Tuesday, JPMorgan stated they found no evidence supporting Rana’s allegations. An unnamed source close to Hajdini accused Rana of fabricating the claims entirely. “He has tarnished her with a complete fabrication,” the source said.
Hajdini, who has been an executive director at JPMorgan for around 15 years, categorically denies the allegations. She claims she has never engaged in inappropriate conduct. The lawsuit alleges that she drugged Rana and threatened to slash his bonus if he didn’t comply.
Rana, a 35-year-old investment professional and principal at Bregal Sagemount, previously worked at JPMorgan in its leveraged finance team. He initially filed the lawsuit under the pseudonym ‘John Doe’, which remains contested.
