Livingston drew 2-2 with Aberdeen in a critical Scottish Premiership match on early Tuesday. Robbie Muirhead’s long-range strike salvaged a point for Livingston, keeping them in the fight against relegation.
Mitchel Frame opened the scoring for Livingston with his first-team goal. Shortly after half-time, Joel Nouble equalised for Livingston, bringing the score to 1-1.
However, Dan Finlayson scored an own goal, putting Aberdeen back in the lead at 2-1. Muirhead then struck from 22 yards out, curling his shot into the top corner to secure the equaliser.
Livingston is currently at the bottom of the relegation group. They are eight points behind Kilmarnock, and a win for Kilmarnock against Dundee United would relegate Livingston.
Aberdeen remains second in the league after this draw. A win would have nearly secured their top-flight status, but they could still be safe by Saturday night.
The match featured three half-time substitutions for Livingston. Toyosi Olusanya missed a significant chance during the game, which was noted as a strong contender for miss of the season.
Muirhead’s spectacular equaliser left Livingston clinging on to their William Hill Premiership status.
