Hyderabad Kingsmen scored 186 runs for 5 wickets. Islamabad United managed to score 184 runs for 7 wickets. Usman Khan stood out with an unbeaten score of 61 runs off just 30 balls.
In a nail-biting finish, Islamabad United needed six runs in the final over to secure victory. Hunain Shah delivered a remarkable performance, conceding only three runs in that crucial last over.
Mark Chapman contributed significantly for Islamabad United with a score of 43 runs off 26 balls. The match saw Hyderabad recover from a precarious position of 85 for 4 in just 11.4 overs.
Marnus Labuschagne expressed his excitement, stating, “I don’t have words to describe what we’ve done today.” He added, “It looked like we were going to win relatively comfortably and then all of a sudden it looked like it’s over (but) Hunain Shah stepped in and goes for, what, three in the last over to win the game … I’ve got goosebumps just talking about it.”
Hyderabad Kingsmen have now won seven of their last eight matches. Their performance has been impressive throughout the tournament.
