Users are unable to access ChatGPT, Codex, and the API Platform. Reports peaked at 8,481 issues around 3:30 PM.
OpenAI describes this situation as a “partial outage.” Twelve components of ChatGPT are experiencing degraded performance.
Issues have been reported in both the US and the UK. Users reported losing access to conversations and projects.
Google Gemini saw reports surge from almost none to 90. Similarly, Claude AI reports increased from around 6 to 169.
Microsoft Copilot also faced issues, with reports rising from 1 to 99.
OpenAI is currently investigating the issue affecting its services. “We are currently experiencing issues,” an OpenAI spokesperson stated.
Some users expressed frustration on social media. One user tweeted, “Chatgpt down? Total history just wiped, can’t access any chat history…. @OpenAI”
