Mò Mò is a new bakery and bistro in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, offering an authentic Italian experience. The establishment serves Italian-style brunches and Mediterranean sandwiches.

Previously a charity shop, Mò Mò transformed into a vibrant culinary space. As of its soft opening, the bakery impressively served 100 guests.

Leonardo Giaschi prepares all food from scratch starting at 5am. His inspiration comes from his homeland of Puglia, which influences the dishes offered.

Key offerings:

  • Artisan sourdough bread
  • Italian-style brunches
  • Pizza and aperitivo night on Thursdays

The opening hours for Mò Mò are brunch from Friday to Sunday and dinner Thursday to Saturday. It has a seating capacity of 12.

Meanwhile, Peak & Stone Bakery in Chesterfield has made headlines by winning two prestigious awards for Britain’s Best Plain Sourdough and Best Flavoured Sourdough in 2026. This bakery is run solely by Tom and Emily Martin.

Tom Martin boasts over 20 years of baking experience. He stated that winning these awards is significant as those two categories are the most sought after.

As Giaschi noted, “We want to give people a proper experience and don’t want to rush tables.” The focus on quality seems to resonate with patrons eager for authentic Italian flavors.
