Following the attack, Scarlett was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick before being transferred to Cork University Hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Her family is deeply concerned, and her mother, Victoria Faulkner, has made an emotional appeal for privacy, urging people to remove graphic images of Scarlett circulating on social media.
Victoria stated, “Please, I am begging ye take the picture down off your pages… Half of my family wouldn’t go in to see her and my father didn’t see her yet.” This plea highlights the distress the family is experiencing during this traumatic time.
As of now, Gardaí are actively investigating the incident, seeking to question several individuals who may have information. They have also requested that video footage of the attack not be shared online, emphasizing the sensitivity surrounding the case.
